Caerphilly County Borough Council is seeking tender responses from suitable suppliers for the servicing, maintenance, purchase, installation and removal of lifting equipment. The Council has a housing stock of approximately 10,900 domestic properties and a number of these properties have internal and external lifting equipment installed within them to support the occupiers needs. There are approximately 500 public sector and private sector properties which have lifting equipment installed, although bidders must note that the number of properties stated is not an indication of the amount of work that the successful contractors will receive. The Council reserves the right to add or remove properties as and when required as part of this framework agreement.

The contractors awarded onto the installation Lots (Lot 1, 3 and 5) for this arrangement will automatically be placed into Lot 7 – Mini Competition. Lot 7 will be utilised when the Authority has a requirement for the purchase of a bespoke piece of lifting equipment. In the event that the Authority requires to use this Lot a specification will be issued as a mini competition tender process to all of the suppliers on Lot 7. The supplier who submits the lowest cost bid to specification will then be awarded the package of work. Please note, bidders cannot apply for this lot, but will be accepted in line with the methodology stated above.

As part of the process, the tender will be undertaken utilising Caerphilly CBC's Proactis Portal e-tendering system.
