II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Powys County Council (‘The Council’) will commence the procurement of Domestic Abuse Services for the county of Powys. The Council is issuing this PIN to provide a brief summary of its intentions to prospective tenderers.
The Council and its partners have published a Joint Domestic Abuse Commissioning Strategy and wishes to re-commission preventatives and supportive services for those effected by Domestic Abuse, with clear outcomes for service users.
The Council wishes to procure preventative and support services for children, young people and adult survivors (both male and female), ready for these services to begin delivery from 1st October 2017. The successful tenderer(s) will be required to work in close partnership with the Council, Powys Teaching Health Board, Dyfed Powys Police and other key partner agencies, including community groups.
The Council is seeking an organisation who will effectively deliver this contract but also work as a developmental partner to help shape the future direction of addressing Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence in Powys.
Services will be lotted on a North/South basis and the Council welcomes collaborative/ consortium tenders for individual or multiple lots.
The anticipated timeline for the procurement process is:
