Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council are acting as ("The Contracting Authority)" to establish a single provider Framework for Extra Care Services in Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough.Subject to the Council’s Business Plan, performance of the provider and the success of the Ty Heulog Scheme the Council may wish to develop further Extra Care schemes within the Rhondda Cynon Taf region. The estimated value of the initial Ty Heulog Scheme is circa 150,000GBP per annum with the approximate weekly commissioned care support hours being 200.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Framework is structured so that a single provider will be awarded a place on the Framework.
The estimated value of the initial Ty Heulog Scheme is circa 150k GBP per annum with the approximate weekly commissioned care support hours being 200. This value and approximate weekly hours of care is provided for indicative purposes only based on the Building being to full capacity, and may therefore increase or decrease dependant on the service requirements.
The estimated value of the Framework for future requirements is 1.8Million GBP based upon an additional 2 similar schemes being entered into during the framework duration

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:
The Council has chosen the non-core route for including Community Benefits within this contract.
Tenderers are required to consider what they are able to offer as Community Benefits in the form of a method statement as part of their tender which will not be scored as part of the award criteria, however will form part of the contract. The successful tenderer must also complete a Community Benefits Measurement Toolkit (Appendix 4) on the anniversary of the contract commencement and annually thereafter. Failure to do so may result in suspension of the contract.
The Community Benefits method statement will be reviewed and negotiated with Successful Provider on Award of the contract to ensure the maximum benefits possible are realized.
