This lot will be for the supply of Evacuated collection tubes and Blood Collection Tubes. Blood collection tubes are used to collect a specimen of human blood that will later be sent for testing in laboratories across Wales.

Blood collection needles are to be used in conjunction with these tubes.

The procurement involves the establishment of a framework agreement with several operators.

Envisaged maximum number of participants to the framework agreement: 3

Justification for any framework agreement duration exceeding 4 years: This contract will exceed the 4 year duration due the large impact and cost of change associated with this procedure. A longer time period will reduce the impact of the change involved in this contract and as such prevent unnecessary strain on the clinical community.
