In the current financial climate, it is increasingly important to have reliable service cost information and access to the underpinning, more granular patient level direct and support costs.

Contract will cover the 7 Health Boards in Wales with the option for Velindre Trust to join the contract during the first year.
II.2.4) Description of the procurement
NHS Wales wishes to procure a system which provides patient level costing that can be traced back to the subjective code in the ledger. In the current financial climate, it is increasingly important to have reliable service cost information and access to the underpinning, more granular patient level direct and support costs.
It is the intention of NHS Wales to appoint one supplier to implement a common system across Wales. This system will be procured using an open procurement process.
The contract duration will be for 3 years commencing in January 2018. With the option to extend for 2 further periods of 12 months.
