CLIENT CONSIDERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS Occupied Premises The site is an existing County Primary School and although the proposed works are to be carried out during the school Summer holidays, some members of staff may be occupying the building at various times during the contract. Access to and from the building, in particular the fire exits are to be maintained at ALL times. Site Security The Contractor is to take measures to ensure the security of the site throughout the contract. This is to include the site compound and the area of work within the property. The site compound is to be sited in an agreed location on the school yard, prior to commencement. Welfare Facilities The use of the schools welfare facilities will not be permitted during the course of the works and therefore the contractor must provide, service and maintain the required facilities, which will need to include toileting and hand washing/sanitising areas etc.as required, which must be maintained in a clean and hygienic manner at all times. Site Transport Arrangements/Restrictions The Contractor is permitted to utilise an agreed area of the staff car park for employee parking, receiving deliveries, welfare facilities and a secure compound if required. The contractor is not to cause a nuisance and all access routes for emergency vehicles must remain clear at all times. Fire Precautions/Means of Escape Contractor is to undertake a risk assessment and implement controls to ensure the safety of persons on and in the vicinity of the site. A written plan should be provided to the Supervising Officer / Contract Administrator with regards to this matter prior to commencement of work on site. All means of escape to be kept clear in the event of an emergency.  Restricted Areas Contractor to ensure that all vehicles, materials and temporary buildings are sited within the site compound and/or agreed areas and that your employees remain within the work area. THE DESIGN Significant Design and Construction Hazards The following work sequences have been identified and cannot be avoided or designed out.
