 allow existing paper records and new e-forms to be stored and recalled electronically

 deliver seamless integration with national and local best of breed systems via an open architecture allowing the transfer of data and documents

 enable quick access to the stored comprehensive patient record or its component parts

 to present information in a meaningful way to support clinical workflow; presenting to the user appointment lists, recent test results, etc. and provide automated notifications

 provide an electronic window that allows clinicians and administrators to view defined information about individual and cohorts of patients in a 'virtual' electronic patient record

 meet the national metadata standards, SNOMED CT, HL7 FHIR

 Meet existing NHS Wales Data Dictionary standards, and have the flexibility to be configured to incorporate future changes

 to support the streamlining of working practices by removing ‘paper’ from the system

 I am undertaking an initial assessment on a new patient and would like to capture this electronically in real time during the appointment

 I am a Subject Access Request Clerk and I want to find and view all information on a patient, apply redactions and export out a redacted copy as a .pdf

 I am a validation clerk, or researcher, and wish to review the case notes and letters for a list of 50 patients.
