II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Carmarthenshire County Council are holding an Early Market Engagement Workshop prior to advertising a contract opportunity for Housing Support & Housing Management.
The workshop will be held at The Beacon Enterprise Centre, Dafen, Llanelli SA14 8LQ on September 4th 2019 at 10.00 am.
The workshop is a pre- procurement event whereby procurement staff are able to discuss any procurement related issues in relation to the
forthcoming tender.
It will be an interactive workshop with a preference to provider and stakeholder contribution, emphasising what they would like to see in
the tender and how they want it packaged.
Provider feedback is taken on board whereby information gained may influence changes and amendments to the requirements and
specification of the tender.
We would encourage you to attend the workshop to contribute to the development of this service provision.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Service 1: A Housing support service for people who have multiple needs, requiring a high level of support to obtain and manage a tenancy and lead a stable, independent life.
People’s needs will predominately be related to leaving prison and homelessness or having a history of offending behavior and at risk of re-offending, mental health issues and difficulties with substance misuse.
Floating Support will be delivered in a range of accommodation types; supported housing, community houses across Carmarthenshire (temporary to permanent and shared).
Service 2: Using a ‘Housing First’ approach the service is for people with multiple needs who requiring a high level of support to manage their tenancy and lead a stable, independent life.
People’s needs will predominately be related to leaving prison and homelessness or having a history of offending behavior and at risk of re-offending, mental health issues and difficulties with substance misuse.
Floating Support will be delivered to people living in permanent self- contained accommodation. The supplier is expected to source and secure accommodation units across Carmarthenshire for this service.
