This PAN is based closely on the UK government’s Procurement
Policy Note (PPN) 04/20 on payment of suppliers to ensure service continuity
during and after the COVID-19 outbreak, but has been tailored for Wales as
appropriate.
The PAN builds on and extends the supplier relief provisions
contained in PPN 02/20 ‘Supplier relief due to COVID-19’ (which expires on 30
June) through to 31 October 2020.
The Welsh Government will adopt the new PAN from 1 July.
Contracting authorities in Wales are encouraged to do likewise, but adoption
will be a matter for Accounting Officers in each authority.
