The Optimised Retrofit collaboration and Sell2Wales invite you to an online event, on Tuesday
19th October, 9:00 am, to tell you about the Optimised Retrofit Project and the growing retrofit market in Wales and provide an in-depth briefing on the role of Sero’s IES system and the integral part it plays for any home’s journey to net zero.
There are currently around 1.4m homes across Wales that need to be made more carbon[1]efficient to help meet 2050 net-zero targets, so getting retrofit right and making it happen by delivering the skills and training needed, is going to be key to building a strong future economy and helping tackle the climate emergency.
The Optimised Retrofit pathway programme is a collaboration of 68 partners, including 26 social housing providers, that has been awarded more than £13m in funding by the Welsh
Government through the Innovative Housing Programme and will see more than 1,700 homes across Wales made more energy-efficient. As well as helping to reduce energy bills for residents, Optimised retrofit will help reduce the carbon footprint of each home.
The session will also provide an introduction to Business Wales and an explanation on how we can support you and your business to be ready to tender for future work in this sector.
This event is aimed at those interested in the retrofit and decarbonisation sectors, and those who work in electrics (and their teams) within Wales to provide an overview of:
- What is Optimised Retrofit and what are the opportunities for installers across Wales?
- What is an IES? An introduction.
- Why do we need an IES? The importance of an IES and the integral part it plays for any home’s journey to net zero.
- How can businesses get involved and how can we help you?
This webinar will be run using Teams, a link will be sent closer to the date.
