HELGA Dynamic Purchasing System for Welsh Government Environment and Energy Contracts

Welsh Government are encouraging key suppliers in the Energy Advisory, Design and Delivery Services category to apply for Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Heat Networks and Electricity Generation Assets (HELGA) DPS – a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) providing Energy services to public bodies across the UK.  The previous news article highlighted how to apply and register on the DPS, please access it via this link News - Sell2Wales (gov.wales)

WG will continue to tender energy and environment requirements over the value of £25,000 through this DPS and encourages current registered and interested suppliers to register, and it intends to use the DPS for the following upcoming Energy Advisory, Design and Technical Services requirements over the next three months:

• C125/2022/2023 - Environment and Planning Support Services for Renewable Energy Developer Programme – Value c. £3,000,000 (over 5 year contract)

Using the DPS provides numerous benefits including a ready-made platform for procuring Energy services, reduction in time to procure for both the buying organisation and the supplier, opportunities for new suppliers to apply for the duration of the DPS and improved business intelligence.

The CCS HELGA DPS is live and expires in November 2023, WG aim to procure environment and energy related contracts over £25k via the DPS for the entire period that the DPS is live. The WG will look to use the CCS DPS instead of tendering openly via sell2wales in the first instance. We would encourage your organisation to apply for the DPS so you do not miss the opportunity to bid for our contracts.
