Abstract

Partial refurbishment of former Student Hall of Residence: - • Remove and off-site store all bedroom furniture • Remove and retain bedroom wall shelving units • Remove and dispose of bedroom curtains, retain GF net curtains in situ • Remove and dispose of all flooring materials, door cover strips and stair nosing’s to bedrooms, flat corridors, main entrance lobby, stairs and landings • Plywood faces are to be fixed to all stair risers, with any damaged steps being repaired with epoxy repair mortar • Supply and lay latex floor levelling compound to all areas • A wooden, shaped stringer is to be fitted and decorated, to every flight of the staircase as in previously refurbished blocks. • Isolate lighting circuits, remove and dispose of fluorescent light fittings in bedrooms and kitchens. • Supply and fit new bedroom lights • Supply and fit new kitchen lights • Prepare and decorate study wall of each bedroom with a feature colour, make good to ceiling. • Prepare and decorate radiators and pipework • Supply and fit carpet tiles and door cover strips to bedrooms and flat corridors • Supply and fit 2m width of barrier matting to entrance lobby • Supply and fit acoustic polyvinyl floor to entrance lobby, stairs and landings • Supply and fit stair nosing’s, door cover strips and transition strips • Supply and install 1no TV aerial and booster to building, with leads to each kitchen and 1no aerial socket in each kitchen, plus 1no power supply to loft area for booster • Supply and fit 1no wall mounted TV screen to each kitchen, c/w aerial connection lead • Supply and fit 1no double power socket to each kitchen, for wall mounted TV • Test and commission electrical circuits • Supply and fit bedroom curtains • Remove all bedroom furniture from storage and reinstall to bedrooms • Professional deep clean of entire block, including windows
