Abstract

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who are urgently seeking an external partner to provide additional chemotherapy treatments for up to six slots a week from the 1st June 2019 due to insufficent capacity from increasing demand and decreasing nursing availability. It should be noted that the Health Board Pharmacy department will have no involvement in the supply of medicines for C&V patients receiving this outsourced treatment as SACT will be sourced by the awarded bidder as ready prepared patient specific chemotherapy doses. Any awarded bidder will be responsible for (amongst other requirements); - scheduling of patients and agreeing cut off times for prescribers and pharmacy verification by which scripts must be scheduled/confirmed - ensuring their chemotherapy nurses are operating to the same standards as C&V chemotherapy nurses and C&V policy (or equivalent) is followed For further details please access the tender document which are available on the Bravo Solutions etenderwales portal.
