Abstract

Welsh Government wishes to commission an evaluation of the Welsh Language Sabbatical Scheme for education practitioners (the 'Sabbatical Scheme'). The evaluation has two aims. The first is to examine how, and to what extent, the Sabbatical Scheme contributes to change in the way that Welsh is taught or used as a medium of teaching in schools. The second aim is to assess the contribution of the Sabbatical Scheme to professional development provision for practitioners to develop their Welsh language skills or to teach through the medium of Welsh. The evaluation findings will provide the basis for the strategic development of the Sabbatical Scheme and practitioner training in future. CPV: 73000000, 73000000, 73200000, 80000000.
