II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Welsh Government is seeking to let a contract to manage the Independent Review Mechanism (IRM) for Fostering and Adoption on Wales from 1 April 2018. The contract will be for one year, with the possibility of extension on an annual basis for up to a further two years pending the outcome of a review of the fostering and adoption regulations. The IRM will manage the process by which prospective or approved adopters, and prospective or existing foster carers, can seek a review of a ‘qualifying determination’ made by either their adoption or fostering agency. This includes setting up and servicing the independent review panels.”
