II.1.4) Short description
NHS England South (South East) are seeking a suitably qualified service provider to manage an integrated prison based substance misuse treatment service to HMP/YOI Bronzefield.
This service will provide specialist support for all those assessed as requiring interventions to address drug or alcohol misuse. It is commissioned as part of the overall offender Health pathway within the prison and as such the model will ensure an integrated, recovery orientated treatment system both within the prison and referral into the community or another custodial setting.
HMP/ YOI Bronzefield is a modern purpose built prison for women which opened in June 2004; it serves the court catchment area of Kent, Essex, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Dorset and Isle of Wight and all London courts.
The offender population is complex and diverse, including remand, sentenced, those subject to licence recall, immigration detainees, young offenders, adults, lifers, foreign nationals and a Mother and Baby Unit.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Contract duration: 2.1.2018 to 1.1.2021. Option to extend for an additional 2 years at the discretion of the Commissioner.
The substance misuse service is to be made available to drug and/or alcohol misusers including poly-drug misusers and include dual diagnosis clients. The successful provider must meet the unique needs of the establishment and take into account the needs of the population within the establishment.
The Commissioner will be contracting using NHS Standard Contract for the provision of the Service(s).
This procurement is undertaken in good faith, potential government policy changes could enact changes to prison healthcare provision. Providers must be prepared to work with commissioners to implement nationally mandated directives.
