Abstract

The University has opted to renew its subscription to Lynda.com, an online platform offering thousands of video courses in range of subjects. We have been using the service for 4 years and its content has been successfully integrated into the delivery of many of our courses. There are currently around 10,000 active users of the service at the organization, the majority of which are students seeking support with specialist applications and processes, however the content is also helpful for staff learning and development.

There are no suitable alternative services that are capable of offering the range, depth and quality of courses currently available through Lynda.com. As such, we have decided to extend our use of the service for a further three years to 2020. We have secured value for money by negotiating directly with the service provider to obtain the best annual renewal price.
