Abstract

We are seeking up to three qualifications and assessment experts to be members of the Welsh Bacc Design Group. The Design Group will also comprise representatives from Qualifications Wales, Welsh Government, WJEC (the awarding body currently offering the Skills Challenge Certificate and Welsh Bacc), Estyn and the regional education consortia. Qualifications Wales will be Chairing the meetings. The Welsh Bacc Design group will be responsible for developing proposals for making changes to the design and assessment of the Skills Challenge Certificate. Drawing on their experience in the field of skills-based qualifications, we expect the experts to: - conduct preparatory work before each meeting; - contribute actively and constructively to meetings; - provide high quality, specialist and technical advice to the group.

Amendment to the high level description of our requirement.
We are in the process of establishing a Welsh Baccalaureate Design Group to develop proposals for making changes to the design and assessment of the Skills Challenge Certificate (the skills-based qualification that sits within the Welsh Baccalaureate) at levels 1 and 2 (for KS4 and post-16 learners) and at level 3 (for post-16 learners). Drawing on their experience in the field of skills-based qualifications, we are seeking up to three qualifications and assessment experts to be members of the Welsh Bacc Design Group.
