Abstract

The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is: A Prior Information Notice for the purposes of early market engagement only, to inform potential tenderers that NWSSP procurement services, on behalf of Hywel Dda University Health Board (Health Board), are proposing to undertake a procurement exercise to commission high quality NHS remote clinical consulting support service to general practice to be delivered for patients residing in Hywel Dda It is anticipated that the Requirement will be advertised in April 2019 with contract commencement in July 2019 (although no guarantee is given in this regard). Hywel Dda University Health Board (HDUHB) propose to commission high quality NHS GP remote clinical consulting support service to be delivered for patients residing in Hywel Dda and registered with Health Board managed practices. It is anticipated that potential contracts would be offered under the terms of The National Health Service (General Medical Services Contracts) (Wales) Regulations 2004. Providers must therefore meet all the legal requirements of the General Medical Services (GMS) agreement and have recent demonstrable experience of successful delivery of NHS General Practitioner service. The Health Board is seeking to commission services that are led by General Practitioners who are able to consider an appropriate skill mix to ensure effective and efficient delivery of NHS General Medical remote clinical consulting support services. The Health Board is proposing to commission one contract based on the population need in Hywel Dda. Accordingly, potential bidders should not release any confidential information/information they do not wish to share further, in response to this PIN notice.

The Requirement will be advertised separately and organisations seeking to participate must respond to the advertisement when published.

All costs and liabilities incurred by organisations expressing an interest shall be the sole responsibility of those organisations.

The Health Board reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion not to proceed with the procurement of the Requirement (whether all or in part).
