Description of the contract
Name of Service: Small Group Respite for Children and Young People in Wrexham with disabilities and additional needs.
Purpose of the Service: Through ‘Families First’ funding to provide short term support for families with children with disabilities and/or additional needs.
Term: From now to 31/03/20 initially.
Where: Wrexham County Borough
Guide price: Maximum £10,000 per annum.
To Provide: Wrexham CBC wishes to procure a small group respite service for children / young people with disabilities and additional needs who are referred to the monthly WCBC Disability Respite and Childcare Panel due to the family undergoing a particular period of high stress, trauma or difficulty.
Deliverables: To work closely with Wrexham Council and partners, with the aim of providing a safe, stimulating and friendly environment in suitable premises in which children with disabilities and /or additional needs can enjoy social and play activities and make new friends. To provide short term respite for families.
Management: Management costs for this contract must not exceed 10% of the value. All Families First contracts will expect the contract holder to use Results Based Accountability to monitor the contract (see Service Principles, Requirements and Monitoring)

Please complete the Respite Application Form, the Employer Pledger, the Community Benefits Statement and the PQQ . The deadline for submissions is 12 noon on Friday January 25th 2019. Please note – the Employer Pledger, the Community Benefits Statement and PQQ only need to be completed if your organisation does not currently have a contract with WCBC Children’s Social Services Department.
