Abstract

Name of Service: Small Group Respite for Children and Young People in Wrexham with disabilities and additional needs. Purpose of the Service: Through ‘Families First’ funding to provide short term support for families with children with disabilities and/or additional needs. Term: From now to 31/03/20 initially. Where: Wrexham County Borough Guide price: Maximum £10,000 per annum. To Provide: Wrexham CBC wishes to procure a small group respite service for children / young people with disabilities and additional needs who are referred to the monthly WCBC Disability Respite and Childcare Panel due to the family undergoing a particular period of high stress, trauma or difficulty. Deliverables: To work closely with Wrexham Council and partners, with the aim of providing a safe, stimulating and friendly environment in suitable premises in which children with disabilities and /or additional needs can enjoy social and play activities and make new friends. To provide short term respite for families. Management: Management costs for this contract must not exceed 10% of the value. All Families First contracts will expect the contract holder to use Results Based Accountability to monitor the contract (see Service Principles, Requirements and Monitoring) Documentation: Applicants should read carefully all the following attached documents: 1. Contract Terms and Conditions 2. Invitation for Expressions of Interest 3. Service Principles, Requirements and Monitoring 4. Respite Application Form 5. Employer Pledge 6. Community Benefits 7.
