Careers Wales is now seeking bids from an executive coach (or team of executive coaches) who can deliver a programme of individual coaching for the senior management team.
Summary of Training Required: A series of six coaching sessions for each of the twelve members of the senior/executive team.
Background and Context: Careers Wales provides an all-age career guidance service to the people of Wales. Career guidance may be provided through face to face sessions, or via digital platforms including telephone, video conference and live chat. Careers Advisers aim to help clients to develop the career management skills required to navigate multiple career transitions (often using approaches such as Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Coaching).
Careers Wales is a wholly owned subsidiary of Welsh Government, and receives most of it’s funding from Welsh Government. Our strategic vision can be viewed here https://www.careerswales.com/en/contact-us/about-us/strategic-vision/ See www.careerswales.com for more information about our services.
The senior management team consists of eight heads of department, and the executive team consists of three directors and the chief executive officer. There have been a number of changes to the team, with three new appointments in the executive team and one new appointment in the senior management team.
Careers Wales was formed from the merger of six companies, each with a different management style and culture. A priority for Careers Wales is to create a more common management culture, based on the use of coaching skills for performance management. Middle managers have recently undertaken training in using coaching skills, and some have formed a peer coaching network to offer mutual support.
