Extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable for the contracting authority and in accordance with the strict conditions stated in the Directive
Explanation
This was an urgent requirement in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the importance of being able to measure and model the 4 harms of COVID-19 to support the advice given to Ministers and officials. An informal agreement was entered into with a supplier to provide the requirement. This is a retrospective request to enter into a formal contract with the supplier to enable WG to pay them for the work completed so far and the future work required.
