Abstract

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is a consolidation of 9 separate Research Bodies which came together as one organisation in 2018. The aim of this supplier engagement day is for UKRI to realise the vision in Corporate Plan it needs engaged and effective people, shared practices, processes, data and tools that can ensure that UKRI can extend its reach, understand its impact and harness the power of its relationships like never before. This can only be achieved with sharing best practice, harmonisation, data sharing and leveraging technology to (a) enhance our understanding with insight derived from a single, authoritative set of data, automate transactional processes and reporting, freeing resource for value added activities and (b) enhance our understanding by providing total visibility UKRI engagement efforts and enabling analysis that will provide insight and data driven decision making.

The CRM Platform proposes to bring this into being by providing ;

• Shared, Coordinated and trusted engagement practices across UKRI

• Harmonised processes and data collections supported by a common classification system covering the distinct research domains

• A single, shared technology platform that is a single repository of people and organisation data that is comprehensive, up to date, easy to search. With easy to use data submission mechanisms, automation of key activities, and a suite of tools that yields greater insight into the people and organisations we have relationships with, including total value of investment in research, and relationships between people and organisations that UKRI has a strategic or transactional interest in.
