Newport City Council invites tenders for the provision of a predominately 'face to face' school based Counselling Service. The service is to be provided free of charge and made available to all children and young people from the ages of 3 to 19 years old. The contract will be for a five year period with an option to extend for a further two years, year upon year, subject to the Terms and Conditions of the contract.

The service will be delivered within the geographical boundaries of Newport at mainstream schools,special schools, Pupil Referral units;colleges of Further Education and other venues as required.
II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The School Based Counselling Service is to be delivered in accordance with Welsh Government's Statutory guidance to Welsh Local Authorities on the Provision of Independent
Counselling Services.
The service will be provided predominately on a face to face basis and will be free of charge to the person using the Services. The Service will cover all pupils from the age of 3 to 19 years old, but will predominantly focus on pupils in Year 6 and above in accordance to Welsh Government guidance.
