Intended Application:

CPI requires a small scale TFF system for process development and defining processing operation conditions / parameters. The equipment will typically be used to process fermentation broths, protein solutions, sugar solutions.

The system must be capable of performing micro-filtration (MF), ultra-filtration (UF) and dia filtration (DF) with a wide range of membrane types.

— CPI requires a laboratory scale electro dialysis for separation and concentration of small molecules e.g. organic acids, salts, amines, etc from aqueous fermentation broths.

— Electrodialysis is an electrochemical process whereby electrically charged particles, ions, are transported from a raw solution (retentate, diluate) into a more concentrated solution (permeate, concentrate) through ion-selective membranes by applying an electric field.
