Abstract

Provision of SIA accredited security personnel and Crowd Management Services to deliver a comprehensive and forward-thinking service, prioritising safety and customer service across our network and stations. The service provides a flexible resource covering 247 stations demonstrating the importance of our service to communities the length and breadth of Wales as well as the Border regions. We are seeking a partner who can work with us to design and deliver a crowd management service to support the pressures of safely transporting thousands of passengers after Special Events to their respective destinations. To meet increased customer expectation and client expectations, the supplier will work closely with TFW Rail Limited providing a managed service for events including planning & organising, staffing, directing and post event evaluation. The Crowd management scope will range from Large Category A events such as major sporting events at Cardiff (six Nations, Autumn internationals and other friendlies, speedway and Moster Jam events) Category B & C events such across the network (Chester races, Gotwood Festival in Anglesey, The Royal Welsh, Varsity games etc), through to additional labour required to support Stations during peak days (crowd management at during flooding, additional travellers during summer periods, etc). SIA accredited personnel will provide planned security cover and patrols at HQ, Engineering facilities and on trains. Ad-hoc services will including NRSP CAT A and CAT B Searches, response to Security threats and counter terrorism activities and static security at hotspot locations. The future partner will bring technological and operational expertise from other, similar contracts as well as the ability to innovate, bringing fresh ideas to ensure the contract meets the required outputs.
