The Automated testing tool allows key end users can view test scripts and record their local testing outcomes. Test scripts are built and run CTeS using developer licenses.

The testing process is a three stages process, with the in-house/supplier developers undertaking testing prior to releasing the changes to CTeS. The CTeS Team will undertake central testing using its developer licenses and a runtime license for the existing automated testing tool to support regression testing.

Upon the completion of the central testing exercise, the online test scripts are made available to key users in the health organisations to allow them to undertake user acceptance testing. There are presently 2 developer licences used to build test scripts user licenses used access the test management online portal. This central repository makes it easier to audit and manage version control of the test scripts.

The online testing portal captures the results of all testing undertaken. Only when all the health bodies have signed off the testing process are the changes then scheduled for deployment into production.
