Abstract

The Cymraeg for Kids programme began in April 2016. It aims to increase the number of children in Welsh medium education. Its objectives are to support parents/guardians of children aged 0-3, prospective parents and other family members to introduce and use Welsh at home, transmit Welsh to their children, and to support children’s social and educational linguistic development The Client is seeking to appoint a contractor to work with it to deliver the Cymraeg for Kids programme for a period of up to 4 years, building on the progress made through the current contract The contractor will be required to fulfil Cymraeg for Kids’ objectives through: developing a process to identify the target audience developing a segmentation process to identify the full range of backgrounds and needs within the target audience  delivering a programme of support for the target audience, tailored in response to the segmentation process referred to above implementing effective processes to share information with the target audience ensuring the target audience is aware of other support available to them beyond this programme building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and work in collaboration with them to mainstream the programme’s aims within their own work support the objectives of the local authorities' Welsh in Education Strategic Plans. Key performance indicators will be set in relation to each specific objective outlined above and will be subject to assessment throughout the contract.

Description of the goods or services required

The Cymraeg for Kids programme began in April 2016. It aims to increase the number of children in Welsh medium education.
