Abstract

Business Wales provides a first class business support service to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) located in Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government, funded by the European Regional Development Fund. This service is delivered by Growth Partnership Wales, a partnership of Business in Focus, Antur Teifi and Serco Limited. Superfast Business Wales, delivered by Serco Limited is a service element of Business Wales, which started in January 2016. It supports eligible businesses across Wales to understand, adopt and exploit the benefits of newer technologies, some of which made accessible through next generation broadband. Serco ESE is looking to select a group of experienced workshop facilitators who can deliver inspiring digitally focussed workshops to show businesses how adopting technology can enhance their business productivity and profit. This will be to support a workshop programme that commenced in 2016 and is expected to run through to the end of the Service in December 2020. The selected group will join an existing group of individual and organisations that were procured through the initial call for support in early 2016. As a result of this exercise, Serco ESE will have a preferred supplier list of facilitators who have delivered over 450 workshops to date. Being part of this list is not necessarily a guarantee of work but will put you in a pool of suppliers that may be asked to quote for work as and when it is required. Below is an outline of the specialist knowledge areas that we cover in our workshops, we aim to expand on this during 2018: - Using digital technology to enhance business processes - Cloud based solutions - Cyber risk and disaster recovery - Digital Leadership - Customer Relationship Management Systems - Flexible Working - Digital Marketing and Social Media - E-Commerce Sector based understanding of how these technologies may apply to the following sectors is beneficial: - Manufacturing - Construction - Agriculture – diversification - Professional Services - Food and Drink - Retail - Tourism - General Services Our Requirements Successful suppliers will be able to evidence capability and experience in three or more of the above specialisms, be competitively priced and able to quickly respond to requests for quotes and specifications to deliver work on one or more of our programmes as required.
