Welsh language policy

Summary

This Sell2Wales portal contains information on Welsh Public Sector procurement activity, including the publishing of above and below threshold Notices. It also acts as an information source to support businesses to use the site and signpost to other forms of business support available from the Welsh Government and its partners.

In line with Welsh Language Standards which came into effect 1 April 2016, all content for which we are directly responsible is published bilingually. Content within published Notices is the responsibility of the Contracting Authority who has published the Notice. It is the responsibility of the external sites to which we link to conform with the Welsh Language Standards.

Issues with portal toggle functionality

The Sell2Wales portal does not offer ‘like for like’ toggle functionality. The portal was developed prior to the implementation of the Welsh Language Standards and has technical limitations which make enabling a ‘like for like’ toggle functionality difficult.

We have assessed the cost of fixing the issue and believe that doing so now would be a disproportionate burden until the portal undergoes a significant code redevelopment. We will make another assessment on this in 2023.
