Abstract

BCBC will be engaging with potential suppliers/contractors who can add value to the delivery of Bridgend Thriving Communities. Bridgend County Borough Council are carrying out this Pre-Market Engagement process concerning the delivery of the UK Government Thriving Communities theme, which is funded by the UK Government under the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. A Pre-Market Engagement event will be held on 1st May 2024 as follows: 9:30 – 10:15: On-line briefing on the Shared Prosperity Funded Resilient Communities programme and opportunity in Bridgend 10:30-16:00: Individual slots available for discussion with BCBC officers on the opportunity. The objectives of the Pre-Market Engagement Process for BCBC are to: 1. Understand the potential opportunities and challenges to enhancing delivery in line with the eligible interventions 2. Receive general feedback. 3. Understand how the benefits of the programme can be maximised. BCBC are seeking to engage with suppliers/contractors who can provide all, or part of the services required to deliver Bridgend Thriving Communities activities. Proposals will need contribute towards one or both of the following interventions: Investment in capacity building and infrastructure support for local civil society and community groups. Investment in community engagement schemes to support community involvement in decision making in local regeneration. We will be providing further information on the Shared Prosperity Fund delivery in Bridgend.
