Abstract

Denbighshire County Council require two new salt storage facilities to replace the current ‘open air’ storage utilised at the depot sites in Ruthin and Corwen, Denbighshire. The proposals are to provide a permanent storage structure suitable for storing standard and safe coat gritting salt, along with the provision of welfare accommodation to Corwen depot, and ancillary infrastructure to both depots including, but not limited to, plant rooms, vehicle weigh bridges, vehicle wash downs etc. Both depots will require assessment of the foul and surface water drainage, and should look to incorporate renewable technologies where appropriate.
