Abstract

Bangor University, in collaboration with its partners , successfully obtained funding from HEFCW to improve mental health and well-being support for students through the medium of Welsh. The proposal encompassed four key objectives: • develop and maintain the project website (myf.cymru) with multi-media content created by students and evaluated by mental health practitioners, providing peer to-peer awareness raising, information and signposting to services. • support the continued development of the All-Wales Welsh Language Mental Health Practitioners and Therapists Network • bridge the gap between FE and HE, through useful guidance on mental health and wellbeing resources available through the medium of Welsh, that FE students can access before and during their HE academic journey • develop a long-term strategy for sustaining the project and creating a long-term impact on the quality of Welsh Medium Mental Health Provision within the HE sector.
