WCBC is looking for an Electric Vehicle Charge Point Operator (EVCPO), to work in collaboration, to increase the number of Electric Vehicle Charge Points (EVCPs) in the borough. WCBC wishes to enter into a contract with a provider to:
- Jointly co-develop and agree an evidence based delivery plan to ensure Wrexham’s provision meets the Electric Vehicle Charging Strategy for Wales and any locally developed EV charging strategies or plans.
- Own and operate, safely install, and commission Electric Vehicle Charge Points (EVCPs) into the public realm and WCBC workplaces
- For the duration of the contract, to be responsible for EVCPs, providing a high-quality maintenance and responsive repairs regime.
- Provide a full back-office and customer service including a bi-lingual call centre function to align with the responsive repairs regime.
- Take responsibility for and undertake all requirements in regards to WCBC’s existing OCCP compliant EVCPs, both public and workplace, as detailed within the ‘locations’ section of this document below. Additionally, in regards to the existing infrastructure, to replace and update EVCPs as required and in order to provide full and consistent operation as per agreed and expected service levels.
- Expand the provision of workplace EVCPs for use by WCBC employees within an agreed and set preferential rate for WCBC vehicles for the recharging of electric vehicles at both public and workplace/Depot EVCPs.
Within the contract, the EVCPO shall provide EVCPs Goods, Services and Works including all planning, design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, operation, maintenance, annual payments to the landowner and decommissioning of all infrastructure, equipment, systems and other components required to achieve the functionality and levels of performance specified.
