Description of the goods or services required

This Procurement is for the proposed works to Cardiff Universities Arts and Social Studies Library (CU ASSL). The works form part of a refurbishment programme that seek to make improvements to the buildings fabric & services within to extend its serviceable life while seeking to improve the overall student experience. The works divided into principally 4 packages as summarised below:-

Internal decoration and flooring works to the first and second floor areas including plastering works to specific areas.

Internal decoration, floor works and replacement of ceiling grids to the stair cores to all floors and areas.

Replacement of the existing Building Energy Management System (BEMS) and Mechanical and electrical controls and associated mechanical and electrical works including:

Cold water tank replacements

Update main plant control panel

Replacement of selected electrical distribution boards

New external lighting

External hard landscaping and access path works.

Additional Information

Access to the Procurement documents will close at 12 Noon on 7th March 2024 in order for Site Visits to take place W/C 10th March 2024. Further details regarding site visits are contained in

Schedule 2 Specification.

All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of bidders.

The University reserves the right to award the contract in whole or in part.

The University reserves the right to annul the tendering process and not award any contract.

All documents to be priced in GBP and all payments made in GBP.
