Abstract

Wrexham County Borough Council (WCBC) wishes to appoint a Lead Designer to work with the local authority, school and key stakeholders to produce Architectural concept designs (RIBA Stage 2) for the new St Christopher’s Special School building and site. Key requirements include: • Prepare Architectural Concept incorporating Strategic Engineering requirements and aligned to Cost Plan, Project Strategies and Outline Specification • Agree Project Brief Derogations • Undertake Design Reviews with client and Project Stakeholders • Prepare stage Design Programme The Design Team shall be led by an appropriately qualified and experienced Architect (the Lead Designer) with demonstrable experience in delivering similar projects. The Lead Designer will be responsible for proposing a Design Team that consists of: • a civil, structural and drainage engineer; • ALN design consultant; • Highways engineer: • net zero carbon and sustainability consultant; • building services engineer; and • cost consultant. ICT Design services and consultancy will be work in conjunction with supported by the local authorities’ networks and infrastructure partner. Description of the goods or services required
