Abstract

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Dyfed Powys is hoping to attract a recognised provider working to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls to deliver a behavioural change programme in a number of schools aimed at Year 10 and Year 11 students in support of the Safer Streets 5 Programme in Dyfed Powys. The successful supplier will work with Dyfed Powys Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner as part of a wider programme of work to deliver innovative solutions in support of a wider Upstander programme of work. It is anticipated that the successful provider will be a recognised and experienced leader in the field of education programmes in schools commensurate with the ambition of the wider programme which had been designed to set the standard for good practice through education and prevention that meet the identified needs as part of the Upstander programme. The timescales for the delivery of this programme are challenging and as such it is anticipated that the successful provider and indeed all applicants will already have experience of delivering the required services that either meet the specific needs of this specification or can be easily and swiftly adapted to do so in an extremely short timeframe. The detailed requirements for delivery of the schools upstander (schools upstander development) need to be completed by 31st March 2024, with full delivery of the schools upstander elements completed by September 2024. Thereafter a detailed evaluation of the programme will be required. The intention is to gauge and evaluate the success of the schools education elements for the age group as part of the wider Upstander programme.
