Description:

Mini Competition for contractors who expressed and interest in participating from Cadw Conservation Contractor Services Framework – C049/2020/2021. Cadw is seeking a fixed fee proposal, via Cadw’s Conservation Contractor Framework, to act as Principal Contractor, under CDM 2025 Regulations to take this project from RIBA Plan of Work stage 05 to 06 and will be expected to instruct and manage any Sub-Contractors. The Principal Contractor will need to set out within the Construction Phase Plan how they will maintain a safe and secure site and manage Sub-Contractors. The Principal Contractor is to make arrangements for Welfare and Storage to ensure safety and Compliance with CDM Regulations 2015. Where specialist services are not available in-house, the Principal Contractor is to allow for appointing suitably qualified and experienced sub-contractors. Our expectation is that the Principal Contactor will become part of the Cadw project team and work in a collaborative way with us. The Principal Contractor should allow sufficient time in their fee proposal for meetings with Cadw, the Lead Design Consultant and other Consultants and members of the design team and Contractors.
