Description:

As a result of the construction of the Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon (TLSB)there is a requirement to ensure that any reflective wave resulting from a south westerly wave meeting the lagoon wall will not cause any damage to existing structures. As a result TLSB need to validate that the nominal 750mmx750mm wall that stands proud of the promenade in the location shown in the attached document, and runs for approx. 110m along the primary sea defence, is capable of standing up to the additional wave loadings as a result of the construction of the lagoon. The calculations for the wave loadings have been carried out and will be forwarded to the successful tenderer.
