Total quantity or scope of tender
The process plant project is a main part of a major project to design, construct and commission a milk processing plant at the Haverfordwest site, and will be delivered in conjunction with other major works on site but splits into seven distinct phases with some of the work being carried out directly by the Purchaser and some work by the supplier, as follows:
Phase 1
The Purchaser (contractor TBA) will be excavating the project area and constructing new buildings, concrete plinths, ducts and drains, and pathways to provide support and housing for all new equipment.
Phase 2
The Purchaser (contractor TBA) will erect a low voltage power distribution building and provide power supply to the process plant, install new steam raising, water storage, glycol refrigeration, air compressors, milk filling facilities and cold storage.
Phase 3
The Supplier will supply, offload and install milk intake, raw storage, milk processing, cream processing, pasteurized milk storage, milk feed to fillers, cream storage and despatch, raw CIP, pasteurized product CIP plant, and associated equipment.
Phase 4
The Purchaser (contractor TBA) will supply and install new feed cables to the process plant.
Phase 5
The Supplier will install electrical power distribution from the starter panels to meet all their requirements, and install mechanical services distribution pipework
Phase 6
The Supplier will install all safety equipment to enable full operation of plant.
Phase 7
The Purchaser (contractor TBA) will supply and install milk filling/handling facilities and ventilation system.
The works will be carried out as part of a Notified CDM project.
