Abstract

WCBC are currently undertaking major refurbishment works to over 800 vacant properties per year in order to provide high quality housing for the people of Wrexham. The programme generates large quantities of waste to landfill and as a local authority we embrace our responsibility to reduce and control the environmental impact of this project. We aim to procure services from a charity or non-profit organisation to provide work placements, experience and training through the recycling or reuse of fixture and fittings, discarded personal items and construction waste generated by the ongoing Vacant Refurbishment programme
