The Pembrokeshire Creamery Ltd. plant is a purpose-built 3000m2 dairy processing site, to be commissioned 4th quarter 2022, and fully operational by first quarter of 2023 on a green field site at Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.

It aims to process approx. 1,000,000 litres of liquid milk per week with options to increase milk bottling capacity and processing of cream products in the future.

The loading dock system supply is part of a major project to construct a new building for milk processing plant at the Haverfordwest site. The installation of the loading docks will be delivered in conjunction with other major civil works on site but splits into distinct phases with work being carried out by other suppliers engaged by the Purchaser and at the same time that the exterior cladding is being installed.

The loading dock system supply is part of a major project to construct a new building for milk processing plant at the Haverfordwest site. The installation of the loading docks will be delivered in conjunction with other major civil works on site but splits into distinct phases with work being carried out by other suppliers engaged by the Purchaser and at the same time that the exterior cladding is being installed.

Dock loading system must be supplied and installed to meet current food safety standards and regulations.

The works will be carried out as part of a Notified CDM project.

The requirements of this tender are to design, supply and install on site the external loading docks as per the issued drawings. The scope of supply is to include the supply and installation of 6No loading dock houses and integral loading dock leveller, loading bay doors, dock shelter, control panel, traffic lights system, rubber dock buffers and wheel guides. All access equipment and lifting equipment is to be included as part of the tender. Please note the size of the load houses for the poly bottle delivery, these will need to be for high bay vehicles, all others are for standard refrigerated lorries.

The loading house will need to be an insulated structure, manufactured using LPS approved panels, the details of the panels proposed should be detailed at the time of tender.

The flashing of the new load house to the building is the responsibility of the load house provider, this should be made watertight and flashed using the same colour flashings as the building cladding.

To the external face of the load house and the internal face between the cold store and the load house a door should be positioned in both doorways, the doors should be controlled to interact with the loading dock leveller and to control the temperature of the coldstore.

The finish to the steelwork has been noted on the drawings, all steelwork is to have a galvanised finish, NO intumescent painting is required.

Any touching up of the steelwork will be the responsibility of the steelwork contractor.
