II.2.4) Description of the procurement
continuation 0f the maintenance of the
combined Heat & Power Unit at Bronglais General Hospital for a further five year term with Centrica (formerly known as Ener-G). Ener-G (Centrica) are the manufacturers and installers of the CHP Plant at Bronglais General Hospital and have had the maintenance contract since it’s installation in 2012.
The CHP maintenance contract with Centrica is due to expire on
the 31st March 2022.
The Health Board has approached several other CHP maintenance companies who confirmed it would be impossible
to provide the same level of service without costly modifications to the CHP plant itself due to its “closed protocol communication system” tied to the manufacturer (Centrica or Ener-G as they were known at the time) .

Justification for selected award procedure:
The procurement falls outside the scope of application of the Directive
Explanation:
continuation of the maintenance of the combined Heat & Power Unit at Bronglais General Hospital for a further five year term with Centrica (formerly known as Ener-G).
