II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Tender Requirement will cover the design of the décor of the interior office surroundings and layout and design of the workspace and work stations.
FCC are relying on the expertise and design abilities of the candidates to produce an aesthetically pleasing, practical and comfortable work environment for its employees. FCC are expecting the contractor to be proactive with its thought process and develop a concept which will stand apart from its competitors.
The vision of the authority is to have a workplace to be proud of and to provide a high quality workspace for its valued workforce.
The contractor is to work within a total budget of GBP 200 - 280k. This budget is to cover all aspects of this project including design, goods & services and installations etc. It is a turnkey project and the successful contractor will be responsible from concept to delivery.
The successful contractor will also be responsible for the specification, sourcing and procurement of all of the interior fixtures & fittings, including office furniture which will provide excellent value for money, combined with a pleasing working environment, which is both practical and resilient.
The successful contractor will be fully responsible for the project management of the interior refurbishment exercise, including the liaison with the FCC project management team with regards to the transfer of existing office equipment and furniture from the current FCC offices.
The scope of the requirement will also include the following service elements alongside the provision of furniture products: space planning; site surveys; delivery; installation; and maintenance where required.
The current structure requires little work and all of the major items will remain i.e. blinds, carpets, structure etc.
The successful candidate will be expected to hold engagement sessions with staff.
