For the supply and installation of external cladding for the new milk processing factory

Description of the goods or services required

The Pembrokeshire Creamery Ltd. plant is a purpose-built 3000m2 dairy processing site, to be commissioned 4th quarter 2022, and fully operational by first quarter of 2023 on a green field site at Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. It aims to process approx. 1,000,000 litres of liquid milk per week with options to increase milk bottling capacity and processing of cream products in the future.

The exterior cladding supply is part of a major project to construct a new building for milk processing plant at the Haverfordwest site. The installation of the exterior cladding will be delivered in conjunction with other major civil works on site but splits into distinct phases with work being carried out by other suppliers engaged by the Purchaser and at the same time that the exterior cladding is being installed.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The requirements of this tender are to design, supply and install on site the external cladding as per the issued drawings. The scope of supply is to include the external cladding to the building roof and walls using the composite cladding materials as specified. Additionally the weatherproofing of the building joints using flashings to match the building cladding need to included to all wall and ceiling junctions. The cladding and flashing will need to prevent the ingress of flies into the building.

All flashings to doors, windows, services areas are to be included.

The rainwater gutter for the building including the downpipes to the ground floor are to be included as part of this tender, but will need to shown as a separate cost in the cost summary.

To the ground floor of the services area there is a requirement for a ventilation louvre, the louvre is to sized approximately 2m x 1m, fitted with a stainless steel fly screen, an allowance for the supply and installation needs to be included and shown as a separate cost. Additional louvres will be required as per the above, this figure should allow to be multiplied.

All access equipment, netting and edge protection system and lifting equipment is to be included as part of the tender.

The client will supply welfare arrangements for the work, any accommodation required for storage should be provided by the contractor.
