The purpose of this Tender is to enable Newport City Homes to:
Confirm our requirements for secure wide area network connectivity services that delivers value for money in terms of balancing costs, security, benefits and risk without compromising quality.
To understand the costs, the organisational benefits and potential return on investment of replacing the current network.
To understand potential options for the upgrade of the current WAN, including options around the connectivity speeds in terms of maximum available and highlight suitably costed options.
To produce a short-list of potential suppliers for a more in-depth selection procedure, this will include a presentation of a proposed solution.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:
The commitment to deliver Community Benefits through our procurement activity is designed to ensure that wider social and economic issues are taken into account when spending public money. The intention is to achieve the very best value for money in the widest sense.
The information submitted in the Community Benefit question is for information only and will not be scored in the evaluation process. However, failure to provide a Community Benefits Plan in the required form will result in a Tendering Organisation’s Tender Response being rejected.
For the avoidance of doubt the Community Benefits are a non-scored, non-core requirement and must be delivered in a cost neutral way. Therefore Newport City Homes does not anticipate incurring any additional costs as a result of the delivery of any Community Benefits. If there are considered to be any additional costs to delivering Community Benefits full details must be provided as part of the Community Benefits Plan for Newport City Homes to consider.
