Specialist Security was established in May 2001 and we have built a sector-leading reputation for the provision of professional security services. We provide electronic, physical and manned security services for clients in the private and public sector, as well as residential clients across the UK. We were established in Cardiff in South Wales, where our head office is located and were one of the first companies in the region to attain the much-coveted SIA Approved Contractor Status (ACS).

SIA:
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is an independent body that reports to the Home Secretary, under the Private Security Industry Act 2001. All Specialist Security employees hold a current SIA licence.

We can also offer officers with enhanced DBS clearance for sensitive locations where an extra level of vetting is required. We invest in on-going training and professional development for our workforce, offering company and site-specific inductions as well as general guard training.
ISO9001:2008:
In addition, we are ISO9001:2008 CERTIFIED. International Organisation for Standardisation is the world’s largest developer of voluntary international standards. Being ISO9001:2008 accredited, Specialist Security has proved a management system where the company needed to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide a service that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

CHAS:
Specialist Security Co is accredited within the contractors Health and Safety Scheme (CHAS) having demonstrated compliance with sound management of current basic health and safety legislation.

BSIA:
Specialist Security is a member of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), which is the trade association for the professional security industry for the UK. For over 40 years BSIA has shaped the private security industry. Specialist Security has been BSIA accredited since 2010. Managing Director Rachel Flerri is an SGS Committee Member and Regional Chair member of BSIA.
