Description of the goods or services required
Cardiff Council intends to appoint an appropriate specialist playground contractor to undertake Grange Garden Play Area Improvements at Grangetown Cardiff. The playarea is defined as the wall/fence boundary of the playarea as shown on drawing L-01
Playground improvements will include:
• Removal of existing play equipment, furniture, softscape, and surface materials;
• Installation of new play equipment, relocating existing play equipment, and new asphalt surfacing and artificial turf surfacing;
• Installation of benches and bins;
• Relocation of two gates and closing the existing;

The contractor shall be responsible for fencing and securing the playarea during the works, protecting existing trees in accordance with BS5837:2012, protecting adjacent walls and fencing, protecting underground services (where applicable) and meeting their obligations under the CDM regulations.
The site will be deemed as completed once the contract documents have been achieved and approved by the Cardiff Council Landscape Architect and inspected by the Employer’s RPII inspector and confirmed safe for use.
