This may include coordinating and incorporating other specialist advice. This will include all current and planned power, lighting, heating, water supply and security installations, etc. These need to have a minimal impact on the historic fabric and to any buried archaeological remains. Cadw has a commitment to sustainability, therefore a key role of the supplier will be to identify ways of improving Cadw’s energy efficiency and reducing its carbon footprint, minimising the use of water and developing micro-generation schemes wherever possible.

Selected consultants will work with Cadw's in-house specialist teams and in conjunction with other specialist consultants, providing project management and planning supervision services as required. This may include coordinating and incorporating other specialist advice such as structural, mechanical, electrical etc. In certain situations, the Project Management (PM) consultant will be required to form their own design teams from consultants appointed on the other Categories on the Framework. In this situation, the PM consultant will be responsible for directly employing the other disciplines and for managing and coordinating their work. This will also mean employing accredited architects/surveyors from Cadw’s conservation framework, who has the necessary skills to act as the professional accredited lead consultant.
