Abstract

Powys County Council will assume the lead role in the contract, working closely within the project team and partners steering group. All activity will be overseen by Powys County Council Tourism, who sit within the Councils Regeneration Team. • The project is being led by Powys County Council in partnership with Local Authorities: Conwy, Gwynedd, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Cardiff, Ceredigion and Brecon Beacons National Park Authority. • The project area covers all of the above local authority areas, with specific reference to the Cambrian Way catchment and in part the Coastal Way (Ceredigion catchment • Across the area tourism is a significant economic sector, as such it is vital that tourism develops in a sustainable manner that not only enhances the rural communities but also that of the valued natural environment, with its strong conservation ethos.
